Patriot ALERT: DHS Designed Smart Phone App for Snitching on Friends, Neighbors, Attempting to Market App to Patriots By Naming it “PatriotAPP”

I have been wondering for at least 2 or 3 years why the big heated rush is on by BIG RETAIL to make sure every American owns a Smart Phone. Every night while I work online I watch the TV blast “smart phone ads” in my face nonstop every 12 minutes. It’s not just annoying, it’s another mass marketing tsunami of “buy this. use these, make sure you have one, you MUST own an iphone…”blah blah blah overkill.

I just saw something on Twitter, and now I finally get it. It was in my face the whole time. It’s NOT about giving you the apparent cool convenience of making a Youtube video and posting it every time your hinky neighbors fight in their front yard at 2 am. Nope, but they want you to think it is. What it’s about is:

Surveillance, surveillance, surveillance.

DHS wants to know two things:

WHO are the people in America who consider themselves to be patriots? DHS wants them on a specific list.

And… WHERE will these “patriotic” people be at any given moment, 24-7 in America, on planet earth?

Well now DHS has an APP for that. You won’t believe what they named it, and how they are trying to market this ugly little thing:

Introducing the “PATRIOT APP” [ Note to self: Observe how DHS named this app to try to get patriots to out themselves by purchasing, or downloading and using this app to SNOOP ON THEIR OWN FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS. Like any true patriot would do that. We would only do that to warn each other about the radical Muslim building bombs in his basement next door, or the DHS employee living next door to make sure NOT to confide in. ]

A new iPhone App with the misleading name ‘PatriotApp’ attempts to draw on the power of the patriot movement, turning smartphone users into a gigantic snitch network. You might think an app with such a patriotic name might have useful functions like a pocket constitution or quotes from our forefathers. But contrary to the services one might expect, this app allows users to report any ‘suspicious’ behavior directly linking them with top government agencies.

Much like the new DHS program ‘If you see something, say something’ this app is meant to turn average citizens into a network of spies feeding information back to the federal government.

Citizen Concepts, a company formed by insiders from DHS, defines the use of such an app on their homepage:

Citizen Concepts announces the launch of PatriotAppTM, the world’s first iPhone application that empowers citizens to assist government agencies in creating safer, cleaner, and more efficient communities via social networking and mobile technology. This app was founded on the belief that citizens can provide the most sophisticated and broad network of eyes and ears necessary to prevent terrorism, crime, environmental negligence, or other malicious behavior.

Simply download, report (including pictures) and submit information to relevant government agencies, employers, or publish incident data to social network tools.

Every REAL patriot needs to understand what this evil little app is about. It is about two things:

1) OUTING PEOPLE who identify themselves as patriots so their Iphone’s GPS location can be tagged, therefore giving DHS a nonstop 24-7 feed on where they are, and what they are doing. This is all easily done using the backside of the Iphone or other smart phone architecture, and by accessing records kept by the phone service provider.

2) Getting people to begin to think it’s “patriotic” to snoop on their neighbors. More social engineering to re-train the American mind for the many dark uses that DHS thinks it should be used.

My opinion is this: Unless my neighbor is killing his wife, beating his kids, building bombs, planning to blow up bridges, or in general is actively plotting real and genuine evil against other Americans, I pretty much don’t want to know, or care what he is doing, In essence, I would like to grant my neighbor the same modicum of privacy that I would expect for myself. It’s the civilized way to live when you can reach out of your window, and practically scratch the glass of your next door neighbor’s window. I really do not trust or appreciate DHS, who is funded by the taxes that I pay, trying to name a “spy and report” app for an Iphone in such a way that it sounds “patriotic” to snitch. That is the essence of the dark side of new world order social engineering, which is designed to change human behavior, and to change the way people feel about their changing human behavior.

Step back and think this over, before you run out the door with your fully loaded, amped up, apped out smart phone. Everywhere you go  and everything you do, DHS can access those activities remotely and monitor you, if you put that app on your phone. They most likely can monitor you without the added app, but I can guarantee there is a “secret back end” on that so called “patriot app” that will help DHS to monitor the person who downloaded it.  DHS wants to know at all times what us PATRIOTS are doing, just in case we really do decide to just stop paying our taxes en masse and shut the federal government down in 6 months flat. Yeah, I guess they would want a heads up on that.

OK folks you are forewarned. Beware of “patriotic sounding smart phone apps” designed by DHS to fool you into thinking that snooping on Fred and Wilma is ok, and therefore allowing DHS to snoop on you in the process. DHS is Busted! And before we close this subject you might want to have a look at Defective by Design’s pdf report.

FYI: The smartest phone I own is an inexpensive throw away cell, which I toss about every 6 months for a new one. My cell phone bill is about $25 per month, perfect. I use an actual real digital camera for taking photos and videos, and I do not “text.” I enjoy speaking to people in real time, you know in actuality, “live”… what we used to call “face time.”

When you have spent a lifetime holding a camera in your hands, you know, a real one, with a great 400 millimeter super zoom that can focus in on the feathers of a bird at 800 yards, or catch a hummingbird in mid flight, then you feel kind of foolish standing there trying to actually take good photographs with a little techno-wafer that looks more like something you should dip in coffee than a camera. So I guess I’m old school. And I’m glad.

Web Inventor Tim Berners-Lee Doesn’t Like Facebook, Neither Does Gmail, Neither Do I

Next month will mark the 20th anniversary of the day that the very first web page appeared on fledgling global computer networks, soon to be christened the “world wide web.” Our planet has been completely transformed by the invention of computer scientist and CERN technician Tim Berners-Lee in 1990.

The world wide web went live, on my physical desktop in Geneva, Switzerland, in December 1990. It consisted of one Web site and one browser, which happened to be on the same computer. The simple setup demonstrated a profound concept: that any person could share information with anyone else, anywhere. In this spirit, the Web spread quickly from the grassroots up. Today, at its 20th anniversary, the Web is thoroughly integrated into our daily lives. We take it for granted, expecting it to “be there” at any instant, like electricity. – Tim Berners-Lee

[ See “long Live the Web” by Berners-Lee ]

Today, however the global democratic and egalitarian nature of the world wide web is threatened by social networking behemoths like Facebook, which in effect, walls off the collected member data which is entered into the site, prohibiting this data from being made accessible by other portals online. Try to imagine if 90% of every city and town in America became some sort of “members only” gated community practically overnight. People who were not “members” suddenly would be unable to drive the roads which were now “owned” by these 5 or 6 gated communities, thus forcing people who needed to drive to get somewhere to join these communities, and divulge their private information, whether they wanted to or not.

That, in the digital sense of the word, is exactly what Facebook is now forcing onto the rest of the internet. If I want to see what Facebook user has linked to my blog from their page on Facebook, I am forced to join Facebook, which I refuse to do for about a hundred good sensible reasons. Here’s what Tim Berners-Lee has to say about the troubling issue that sites like Facebook present to the freedom of the internet:

The Web as we know it, however, is being threatened in different ways. Some of its most successful inhabitants have begun to chip away at its principles. Large social-networking sites are walling off information posted by their users from the rest of the Web. Wireless Internet providers are being tempted to slow traffic to sites with which they have not made deals. Governments—totalitarian and democratic alike—are monitoring people’s online habits, endangering important human rights.

If we, the Web’s users, allow these and other trends to proceed unchecked, the Web could be broken into fragmented islands. We could lose the freedom to connect with whichever Web sites we want. The ill effects could extend to smartphones and pads, which are also portals to the extensive information that the Web provides. Tim Berners-Lee

It is of the utmost importance that intelligent and farseeing discussions begin to examine now, what the ultimate outcome and consequences may be in another 20 years for the overall health, freedom, democracy and well being of the internet, as mega-sites like Facebook continue to grow and dominate the web landscape. I can actually foresee a strange new “first internet” twenty years from now which is nothing more than a gigantic digital continent, which is walled off from the rest of the web, called , and I am being facetious here, oh, let’s say: “Facebook Fantasy Island.” This digital monarchy now sits squarely in the middle of world cyberspace with 4 billion users, relegating the rest of the internet to an inferior and secondary tier of status, bandwidth, and information access. Those digital outsiders who have valued their privacy, refusing to join the behemoth, now use a second tier smaller “internet” that is excluded from the gargantuan ongoing “big brother supervised digital block party” which will have finally become Facebook by the year 2030.

Readers may think I am exaggerating wildly, but I do so to make a point. When there is ultimately, 20 years from now, one privately owned internet mega-portal that has culled the vital data and personal statistics, lifestyle habits, interests, hobbies, book and music lists, movies, family stats, and every other imaginable snippet of personal information that could ever be datamined from 2/3rds of the world’s online population, with their own naive consent, and is holding that data in private digital vaults, dispensing it at will to governments, corporations, and whomever else is willing to pay the asking price for it, then don’t we have the equivalent of global digital socialism?

Those familiar with George Orwell‘s “1984” most likely never imagined that Big Brother might not originate so much with the federal government as it would those firms which learned how to dominate the landscape of the world’s computer networks during the first twenty years of the world wide web. But that is exactly the landscape which I see shaping up in front of me. I am not exactly sure what the solution is at this time.

As long as there are millions of young people who want to date and mate, there will be Facebook. But just exactly how large and overpowering in scope should we allow Facebook to become? When I was still quite young, the federal government broke up the national telephone monopoly known formerly as “Southern Bell Company.” The FED has done the same thing with gas companies and other huge growing monopolies that eventually threatened fair and equitable business practice. Will it eventually come to the same thing with Facebook?

I ask these questions, and pose these scenarios because these questions need to be asked, and the possible eventual scenarios need to be examined. Just exactly how big do we want to allow mega-portals like Facebook to get before the global minds and thinkers of the digital world intervene to keep one internet firm from eventually “owning” the personal data of the majority of worldwide internet users?

The time to study the possible problems, scenarios and outcomes for the internet is now, not twenty years from now, when it may be too little, too late.

5 Solid Reasons to Run Like Hell From Facebook’s New Email Messaging

44 Essays on Alternative News Forum That Discuss Facebook

5 Solid Reasons to Run Like Hell From Facebook’s New Email Messaging System

Copyright 2010-3010 By CK Hunter. Re-posts granted leaving essay intact only.

I written before about the creepy CIA and NCS [National Clandestine Service] connections to Mark Zuckerberg‘s neo-Orwellian Facebook empire. But just in case you have not been made aware, have a look at these historical items before you read on:

Facebook Messages: The Worst Thing That Ever Happened

Facebook Gone Bad:

Why You Should Run Like Hell from Facebook Messaging:

1. You cannot delete Facebook messages. Stop and ponder the horrific consequences just for one moment. Drunken opinionated thought orgies, changing your politics, irate rants about your spouse, boss, about religion, atheism, about ANYTHING are archived forever in the Orwellian bowels of Facebook and may be used in some future that we have not yet imagined to socially typecast, identify, prosecute, or otherwise harm or legally call you out, when 3, 5, or 10 years have passed and yiou havce long since left those obsolete opinions behind. This one fact should stop every intelligent Facebook user dead in their tracks, and make them genuinely take pause. It’s just exactly like being pulled over by the police when you were sure you were doing nothing wrong. Suddenly anything you do or say might just be used against you later in a court of law. You won’t know until you regretably say it, and you cannot call it back, not ever. Anyone who has ever mouthed off at a tired irritated police officer, and then later got the shit kiced out of them for it, should understand what I am saying here. If there was ever a moment to read between the lines, this is that moment. Call me alarmist, call me a wing nut, I DON’T CARE. I am warning young Americans and everyone else who uses Facebook, this fact alone makes it crystal clear to me that Facebook is not much more than a cleverly disguised social surveillance tool, and an emerging format for international politically correct thought police to call out people they want to target using their own words of years gone by to indict them with.

2. Locating individual emails or messages will be complicated and tedious in that: all of your communications with any one person will be bundled into one GIANT thread of e-mail, text, and chat communication. This also just happens to be very convenient for the FED should that moment ever arise that the FED wanted to examine and investigate every conversation you ever had with one of your more politically radical tea party buddies, whose tactics you might not agree with, but nonetheless, there it is for all of USA Big Brother’s eyes to see… 5 years of unbroken threads of dialogue between you and “firehose Sam” who you emailed off and on for a few years, then moved on. You won’t be able to go in and selectively delete those uncomfortable conversations you had with “Firehose Sam” about why he should not instigate whatever. Everything, the texts, emails, and chat items, that you exchanged with “Firehose Sam” will be bundled into one huge hairball that you cannot go in and selectively edit and delete later. This is yet another breach of personal privacy and can be damning to innocent Facebook users in years to come in ways that we cannot or do not wish to imagine at this time.

3. Whenever you send someone one email, text or chat message, they are automatically granted access to your entire Facebook account. The best analogy for this might be you answer the doorbell at home, the newspaper boy hands you your daily newspaper, and to thank him, you force him to take a guided tour of every room in your home and then hand him the house keys. No one in their right mind would ever do this, right? But Facebook users do it every day when they email someone who is not on Facebook, invite them to look at some posted photos, then the recipient must actually join Facebook (thus procuring access to your own Facebook page)in order  to view the photos. It’s Orwellian, it’s creepy, it’s way too mandatory, it’s unintelligent and unnecessary. Ever heard of email attachments? Just email over the photos from your regular email program as embedded attachments, and the recipient can, with one click, enjoy looking at the photos inside their own email in-box, and leave Facebook out of it. It’s more intelligent and it protects everyone’s privacy, and their fundamental right NOT to be forced to join the ongoing crazy Facebook party.

4. In order to make your Facebook account completely private, you will need to click-through 50 buttons and either select or deselect more than 170 other options as of 11/20/2010. This can change at any time, and assuming Facebook will continue to further complicate its own “privacy policy” frequently, you can assume that in the future, it will become so intentionally complex and time-consuming to alter your privacy settings, you can pretty much be assured that most people who are busy, will give up and use the Facebook defaults, allowing all kinds of third-party websites and companies to continuously datamine their account content. Facebook will continue to outsmart it’s smartest users in the future, when privacy laws in the USA will have been altered as the USA itself becomes politically altered and merged even more deeply into the North American Union. See the video clip below:

5. Watch these videos below:

If you think your Facebook account is secure, you are woefully uninformed about how sophisticated the hackers are in data-mining Facebook for their own purposes. Let’s use simple third grade logic. If hackers can do all of the above, then just assume that the CIA, FBI, NCS, NSA and so forth can and will do 100% more than that in order to investigate you, at any time, for any reason, without a warrant or a court order, without your knowledge or consent, just by using Facebook.

Congress Moves to Pass Legislation Censoring Huge Chunks of the Free Internet to American Citizens: Sign Petition to STOP This Bill

Copyright 10.26.2010 By CK Hunter

Do you see how congress behaves when the population is distracted by a turbulent 2010 mid term election season? This behavior is parr for the course. Read the post below and sign the petition linked to it to stop passage of this legislation. Our free speech via a free internet is under attack in America, because the Obama White House wants to silence all dissent to their policies and movement toward a more socialist American society. Here’s the post. Please reblog and share this post with as many as you can.

Thanks! Chase Kyla Hunter

Stop the Internet Blacklist now!

By David Segal and Aaron Swartz

When it really matters to them, Congressmembers can come together — with a panache and wry wit you didn’t know they had. As banned books week gets underway, and President Obama admonishes oppressive regimes for their censorship of the Internet, a group of powerful Senators — Republicans and Democrats alike — have signed onto a bill that would vastly expand the government’s power to censor the Internet.

The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA) was introduced just one week ago, but it’s greased and ready to move, with a hearing in front of the Judiciary Committee this Thursday. If people don’t speak out, US citizens could soon find themselves joining Iranians and Chinese in being blocked from accessing broad chunks of the public Internet.

Help us stop this bill in its tracks! Click here to sign our petition.

COICA creates two blacklists of Internet domain names. Courts could add sites to the first list; the Attorney General would have control over the second. Internet service providers and others (everyone from Comcast to PayPal to Google AdSense) would be required to block any domains on the first list. They would also receive immunity (and presumably the good favor of the government) if they block domains on the second list.

The lists are for sites “dedicated to infringing activity,” but that’s defined very broadly — any domain name where counterfeit goods or copyrighted material are “central to the activity of the Internet site” could be blocked.

One example of what this means in practice: sites like YouTube could be censored in the US. Copyright holders like Viacom often argue copyrighted material is central to the activity of YouTube, but under current US law, YouTube is perfectly legal as long as they take down copyrighted material when they’re informed about it — which is why Viacom lost to YouTube in court.

But if COICA passes, Viacom wouldn’t even need to prove YouTube is doing anything illegal to get it shut down — as long as they can persuade the courts that enough other people are using it for copyright infringement, the whole site could be censored.

Perhaps even more disturbing: Even if Viacom couldn’t get a court to compel censorship of a YouTube or a similar site, the DOJ could put it on the second blacklist and encourage ISPs to block it even without a court order. (ISPs have ample reason to abide the will of the powerful DOJ, even if the law doesn’t formally require them to do so.)

COICA’s passage would be a tremendous blow to free speech on the Internet — and likely a first step towards much broader online censorship. Please help us fight back: The first step is signing our petition. We’ll give you the tools to share it with your friends and call your Senator.

What Facebook is Really For, Beyond the Comic Video’s Opinion

9.14.2010 By CK Hunter

Think twice before you jump onto Facebook like a Pavlovian trained mouse and post some trivial update about your private life every 20 minutes. You have been “socially engineered” to do this very thing by the internet and the American mass media in the past six years. It’s time to break the programming.

By now I am sure many millions more have seen this hilarious cartoon spoof about “what Facebook is for” – well done and I could not agree more with the apparent message in the cartoon. But in researching Facebook a little deeper one finds many disturbing facts that really cannot be explained away, rationalized or justified in the name of so called “social networking.”

In fact, much of what we call “social networking” is simply an elaborate ruse for implementing what I term “social surveillance” – that is the actual real motive and intent behind sites like Facebook and Twitter, in my opinion.

Consider this: What would you need to achieve first if you had been given the complex assignment of convincing every American citizen that the coolest thing to do on earth was to divulge every private fact about their existence into a vast global online database that anyone at anytime could peruse once they had been assigned “friend” status?

You would need to make this activity socially acceptable, you would need to make this activity “cool”, you would most importantly need to make this activity appealing to highly motivated and highly social young people, and eventually, as quickly as you could, you would need to make this activity seem almost mandatory in the social sense. In other words, sooner or later, you would need to enlist the mass media’s help to make it seem that anyone who WAS NOT engaging in the this “online privacy divulging to total strangers” was out of the loop, hopelessly uncool and not worth socializing with anyway, since their private personal facts could not be located in the mega- public database.

Much of what we call “social networking” is simply an elaborate ruse for implementing what I term “social surveillance” – that is the actual real motive and intent behind sites like Facebook and Twitter, in my opinion.

An intelligent outside observer noting and studying the “Facebook” phenomenon cannot help but to observe, that in fact, this is exactly what has been achieved in the last 6 years through Facebook and Twitter. Now consider this fact. The National Clandestine Service, another new and top secret arm of the FED and their many mysterious alphabet 3 letter spy orgs, openly advertises for recruits via Facebook. Doesn’t that bother all you Facebook addicts even just a little bit?

If there is an open doorway in the USA to publicly agreeing to by surveiled while you are online, and studied and poked at while you are offline, then it most definitely coming through Facebook. An entire nation is being openly “socially engineered” psychologically to belive that they have no right to privacy, and that in fact, as Mark Zuckerberg so famously stated, that in the 21st century “privacy is dead.”

Be aware of what you are gradually agreeing to by insidious degrees.

Think twice before you jump onto Facebook like a Pavlovian trained mouse and post some trivial update about your private life every 20 minutes. You have been “socially engineered” to do this very thing by the internet and the American mass media in the past six years. It’s time to break the programming.

Get your privacy back, as best you can, before it’s too late, and you have no rights whatsoever when agents knock on your door at home and just come strolling in, to examine your home and everything in it.

They will be doing this because for the past 6-8 years you have voluntarily posted online every private detail about you and your family, giving up all ownership of that content just as soon as you posted it.

This is an open ended post, as I have written about this topic in the past and I will be posting new and relevent facts that you may or may not know about Facebook as I locate them, along with updating my own past research.

I’ll be updating this post again soon.
